Camera remote and focusing

X-PRO2 current firmware with the new camera remote 3.1.

I'm in manual mode M with the front dial. How do I check the focus when operating the camera from my Samsung Galaxy E (8")?

Without the camera remote, I have set the highlights red, but I can't see that on the camera remote. I can't check it on the LCD of the camera because camera is connected and operated from the Samsung.
