Focus Check

I have a X-Pro2 and I cannot work out how to use Focus Check with manual focus lenses. I have the focue setting set to M (Focus Mode MF). MF Assist Peak. Focus Check On. Interlock Spot AE & Focust AREA On. Instant AF Setting AF-S. Corrected AF Frame OFF.

When I turn the focus ring nothing happens, if I press the rear command dial nothing happens.
