remote trigger for xpro2

I want to buy a "stackshot" made by Cognisys. They have different cables to connect to the camera depending on the camera you own. For the Fuji xpro2 they list and I confirmed in an email to the company, that they recommend a 2.5 mm-Canon E3 " tether." Looking at the picture of the 2.5 mm Canon E3, the only place on the xpro2 I can see where this could plug in to is the microphone jack. This seems a bit odd in view that we use the micro HDMI port to plug in the Fuji RR-90 remote release....
