No Download from X-PRO2 into LR CC via USB cable

I bought an X-pro2 about a month ago, coming from a D800E, and very happy now.
When I tried it for the first time, I could directly, from the camera, download the pictures into LR CC via the USB cable.
After trying Cam Remote, and doing all the appropriate fiddling, all the sudden the USB cable connection didn't work.
Yes, I know, a card reader is the answer, but teetered shooting with LR CC via USB cable doesn't work neither...
I work on the Apple platform.
Any suggestions?
