I’ve just returned from an evening shooting a dress rehearsal at the theatre, and for a time I was frustrated.
Usually I shoot theatre with spot metering. It holds the highlights as I want them. Occasionally I’ll bump up the exposure 1/3rd of a stop with the Ex. Comp. dial — but that’s rare.
