I'm not sure if this is a carbon-based error or not. When I use one of my old pentax film lenses with an M42 adapter I set focus to Manual and Shoot Without Lens to On. Everything is nice and sharp in the viewfinder. However, when the shutter button is pressed to the halfway point the focus goes noticeably soft. The resulting photo is soft. Should I take up professional knitting? Is there something obvious I've missed?
