AE + continous focus, info in viewfinder

I'm befuddled.

If the lens, or aperture, or ISO is the variable item in single focus, all parameters are displayed.
But, the variable parameters are _not_ displayed in continuous focus. Whilst ....
They are displayed in manual focus.

What logic am I missing here?
