X Pro 2 - Front Switch Doesn't Activate The OVF

My XP2 purchased new from B&H is less than two months old. The front toggle has stopped activating the OVF. It worked fine until today.

Fully charged Fuji battery
Fuji 35 mm 1.4 lens
Never dropped, banged or bumped

I remain an XP1 owner and have never had this problem.

Your observations and suggestions will be appreciated.
