when I manually dial in aperture and shutter speed, but leave ISO on auto, then the AE-L button does not seem to work. Is that normal? I can lock exposure by half-pressing the shutter button, but that also locks focus and I don't want that. I'd like to set aperture and shutter speed, leave ISO on auto and lock exposure, then focus somewhere else by half-pressing shutter and then recompose and take the shot.
Of course, I can go fully manual and also set ISO, but I prefer to leave ISO on...
