Difficulty using OVF?

I've recently purchased an X-Pro3, I'm blown away with its functionality and performance, but....... I'm really struggling to use the OVF. Whether inside or outside, with the lights on or at night, I really struggle to see anything? It's practically useless.

I've changed the brightness of the EVF, which works perfectly, yet whatever I do, I can't change the visibility when using the OVF.

Does anyone else have similar issues with the OVF? Any advice or suggestions or thoughts gratefully...
